Always a thrill to get mail from a mail art icon like Mr. Canard! And we have been studying lots of birds here at the menagerie so his post is especially timely.
Well who doesn't love a personalized piece of mail art? Theresa, of Dark Horizons Radio and The Occasional Bat, sent this oh so accurate card.....The Crafty Hag is always working! You can be part of a postcard exchange with the Dark Horizon Crew, see their facebook page for details!
A fine botanical specimen submitted by Mad Madge. Lovely summer blooms are giving the menagerie a calming sense of zen... Find more mail art at Mad Madge's blog: http://www.canimailthis.wordpress.com/
This lovely composite creature was found on the menagerie's doorstep without a return address or signature----something of a puzzle, but one of the marks resembled an image from a previously received card from Grant so I attribute it to him.
Love the Rothko - esque bands of painted color on this piece of recycled mail art, nicely finished with the Rothko postage stamp... a nice surprise in the mailbox
It's not easy being green! You can sing about it, you can cry about it, but blame the dinosaurs for this oily mess and then lets all get a little more green! Lovely summer music sent in by Carroll, I love to listen to the frogs sing at night after a summer rain!

The Crafty Hag is an artist with Midwestern roots, currently located in St. Petersburg, FL. Her work is primarily focused on linoleum block printmaking techniques. The Crafty Hag is about variety and doesn't believe in limiting yourself to one type of creativity! She lets her sense of humor be her guide. Artistically her affinities lie with the German Expressionist movement combined with a touch of Dada.
